We can transform your quality piano into like-new condition.
Belly
The "belly" of a piano is the interior, crucial structural components such as the soundboard, cast-iron plate, bridge, pinblock, tuning pins and strings. We can repair, refurbish or replace any or all of these parts in order to return the piano to its original condition.
Action
The action includes the keys, hammers and other parts which we can repair, refurbish or replace during the restoration process. This may include hammer filing, key re-bushing, re-pinning action parts, new key tops and the like.
Cabinet
The exterior wood portions of the piano will be refurbished using special refinishing techniques. The hardware will be polished and returned to its original sheen, including the hinges, lock and pedals.
It takes dozens of skilled-labor hours to return a Hammond to factory condition.
Manuals
First, any foam in the manuals is removed. We then completely disassemble and detail the manuals, cleaning every key, drawbar, rocker tab and contact. Up and down stop felts are replaced. The busbars (part of the contact system) will be cleaned and polished. The percussion and vibrato switches are cleaned and lubricated. Rocker tabs, vibrato switch plate and knob are re-lettered.
Preamp
No expense is spared here - every capacitor, resistor and potentiometer is replaced when we install Trek II's CPR-28. Tube sockets are cleaned or replaced. Any faulty or questionable tubes are replaced with quality NOS's or new Russian-made tubes.
Cabinet
The exterior wood portions of the organ will be refurbished using special refinishing techniques. All of the hardware will be polished and returned to its original sheen. The pedalboard will have its screws tightened and re-felted when needed.
The AO-28 gets completely rebuilt with Trek II's CPR-28.
The manuals are disassembled, detailed and refurbished.
